This gorgeous Ipe deck was completed in early June. Ipay is a wonderful wood for building outdoor structures in the Northwest.

Ipe (EE-pay), also known as 'ironwood'. Originating in South America, Ipe is a unique decking material that brings the warmth and beauty of indoor hardwoods to the outdoors. Ipe is quite possibly the most useful and versatile organic building materials available. It is highly resistant to rot, insects, UV exposure, ice, salt, abrasion, splintering, chemicals and is Class A fire rated. The superior strength, stability, and durability of Ipe, achieved naturally, makes them ideally suited for a wide variety of uses. Ask us about utilizing it in your project.

This gorgeous Ipe deck is just one of our recent projects.
Please note: Falling Water Designs uses only FSC-certified wood from responsibly managed forests.
Ipe has an extremely short maturation rate, making it a more sustainable resource than many other hardwoods.

This is what the dog had to work with before...

And after... Ahhhh! A wonderful backyard retreat with the sound of running water, the shade of trees and the warmth of a fire pit.
