Falling Water Newsletter - May 2008

What's New

We continue to build out our nursery and destination spot, Falling Water Gardens. The water lilies are beginning to show their first leaves. The Jack-in-the-Pulpit are blooming!

We've recently acquired a number of monsterous koi. They are currently living with all the other fish we have for sale in our huge 32' by 96' greenhouse. A couple are so friendly that they actually like to be petted! Our seven tanks hold the aforementioned koi as well as sarasa, shubunkin and goldfish. With the weather warming up these specimen are ready to be placed in your pond!

We've got banana trees taller than a person!

Our container fountains with tulips.

The spring colors are busting out in Monroe.

Do you need a pond supplies?

Our shop has a wide variety of pumps, filters, skimmers, chemicals, fish and plant food, fountain heads... you name it, we've most likely got it.

What are you feeding your fish?

Are you aware that fish require different foods between summer and winter? During the winter they should not be fed because food decays in their system and begins to send bacteria into their blood stream. Once water temperature starts warming up over 50 degrees, you can start feeding your fish a cool weather food containing wheat germ. We are very close! Once water temperature reaches 60 degrees, a standard high-protein diet can begin. Do you need a hydro-thermometer and proper food? Come see us in Monroe.

Need a gift for a gardener?

Our unique inventory of gifts and garden art, you are sure to find something for every taste. We've got picnic kits, wine boxes, candles, soaps, lotions, decorative pots and really too much more to mention.

Java Garden is now open for business!

We are proud to be serving quality, hot and cold espresso drinks and confections. Like Mostly Muffins? We've got 'em. Again, something for almost every taste.
