What are you feeding your fish? Are you aware that fish require different foods between summer and winter? Once water temperature drops below 50 degrees, fish do not digest their food as easily. Food decays in their system and begins to send bacteria into their blood stream. This can also have an adverse effect on your ponds chemistry once the weather begins to warm up again. Once the temperature falls below 39°, feeding should stop altogether. Do you need a hydro-thermometer and proper food? Come see us in Monroe. If you are still interested in adding fish to your pond you'd better get on it. As soon as the temperature reaches 50 degrees we don't sell fish as it is detrimental to their health. That could be as soon as the end of this month.
Hurry in and get yours before it's too late.
